We exist because the scene deserves more than just “events.”

Every event is crafted intentionally from open to close. No matter what genre graces the stage that night, our setlists are designed to create a continuous emotional arc, shaped by artists who know how to tell a story through sound.

5. Grow Into a Full-Scale Creative Company
Doofs, showcases, collaborations, festivals and eventually a home base: a permanent creative space for workshops, open decks, jam nights, community events, and more.
Who Is The Founder?
AJ Anderson - is a Melbourne born creative whose journey began in the city’s underground and house party scene.
By 16, camera in hand, he was documenting the raw energy and mayhem of the moment under Kang Entertainment.
At 18, AJ transitioned into the club scene, rebranding as MVMNT Photography and capturing some of Melbourne’s most iconic venues including Pulp, Laundry Bar, Crown and more, steadily building a strong name and network within the industry.
At 22, he stepped away to focus on family, taking time to reset before rebuilding his vision from the ground up.
In 2024, after the photography industry was heavily impacted by COVID, AJ made a pivotal decision to evolve rather than walk away.
That shift led to the creation of MVMNT Entertainment.
A new chapter built on experience, resilience and a deep passion for culture, nightlife and creative expression.
Why He Created MVMNT?
MVMNT was born from one simple truth, he fell in love with the scene long before he ever tried to build anything in it.
The music, the grit, the community, the chaos it all spoke the same language he did and the deeper he got into Melbourne’s scene, the more he realised something important.
There were countless talented creatives DJs, producers, photographers, visual artists all with nowhere to truly grow.
Plenty of events but not enough spaces.
Plenty of lineups but not enough intent.
Plenty of noise but not enough listening.
He didn’t create MVMNT because he thought the scene needed another brand.
He created it because the scene needs another home.
A place where new artists aren’t just tolerated but instead celebrated.
A place where storytelling through sound matters more than popularity.
A place where community isn’t a buzzword, it’s the backbone.
What drives AJ is simple, he wants to build the room he always wished existed.
The kind of environment where people can experiment freely, collaborate without ego and step onto a stage knowing they’re supported, not judged.
For him, MVMNT is more than events.
It’s a living ecosystem.
A creative launchpad and a promise that the underground can grow without losing its soul.
He’s building something people can feel.
Something people can belong to.
Something that pushes the scene forward.
